Flowy Abstract Painting Workshop- February 23rd
New Date: Sunday, February 23rd
Location: 2449 South BLVD. Suite #106
Time: 2:30pm
I've been working on this class for a number of months, and I'm so excited to be bringing it onto my roster for the spring semester! This will be the perfect start to your creative practice this year, since these paintings are meditative and so relaxing to create!
Flowy Abstract Painting is a contemporary art technique that involves painting with liquid watercolors and inks. This technique is often used to create detailed and organic-looking shapes that are difficult to achieve with traditional painting methods. It is fabulous for experimenting with color! Part chemistry lesson, part color theory, totally immersive and cool.
Create small abstract pieces that are both vibrant and visually interesting! The unpredictability of the fluid paint adds surprises to the creative process, making each piece of art unique and one-of-a-kind. So while we discuss color blending, mixing and the various techniques, we will also be working on creating beauty in many different ways. If you've taken my Abstract class before and enjoyed it, you'll love this one too! No artistic skill is needed for this class. This is an experimental process class, and many of your end results will end up beautiful, unique and frame worthy.
- Lots of liquid media to play with!
- A lesson in color theory, with particular attention to color on color blends.
- Discovering applications for liquid mediums.
- Support in mastering the process.
- Small, intimate class sizes.
- Differentiated learning, suited to your needs.
- A guaranteed stress-free learning experience!
- Lengthy instructional time, so you can learn the techniques and use them later!
This class is BYOB, and drinking, (or eating, if you’d like to bring snacks), are always options!
I am dedicated to offering stress free, stress reducing art classes that are fun, no matter what your art experience may be!
While you go at your own rate in all my classes, this tends to be an thoughtful, slow paced class.
*As with all Ruthi Makes classes, no previous experience in art or special talents are necessary!*
