Get a paint pouring art class on canvas with Houston artist and art teacher, Ruthi Makes!

Booking a MAKERSPACE Party is simple!

  1. Choose Kids or Adult
  2. Click "Select a Day" 
  3. Choose your ideal Saturday or Sunday
    (all parties are 12pm-4pm, in any two hour window of your choice during that time).

  6. You will receive _____ email from me, Ruthi, with details and expectations! 

*Note: If you would prefer to pay with Venmo, contact ruthi.makes@gmail.com with desired date and I will send a Venmo request. Once paid, the date will be reserved.

No other preparations are needed! The week before your party, we will send you the donut letter form, which you will need to fill out and return to us, along with approximate guest numbers, and other menu item requests, if interested.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Ruthi Makes does not offer any refunds to the reservation payment. Your party is booked exclusively for that time slot, and no other parties can be booked for that time.

If you must cancel due to illness or other force majeure circumstances, we ask that you cancel at least 12 hours prior to your party day, in order to rebook without penalty. Attempts to cancel or rebook with less than 12 hours to the day of the party, will cause your payment to be forfeit, and will not be honored for rebooking purposes.

In addition, no more than one cancellation or rebooking date change will be accepted. If attempted, the client will forfeit the reservation payment, and no other attempts to book a party with us will be accepted.

I had the most wonderful birthday party with Ruthi! She seriously thinks of everything from decor to food to engaging activities. I wanted to have an adult party where we did something besides go out for dinner or drinks, and Ruthi’s Makerspace Party far exceeded my expectations. For a bunch of adults with professional jobs, it was such a treat to learn to paint pour and paint chocolates and feel the lightness of playing and being creative together. Ruthi is an amazing teacher who offers tons of encouragement and one-on-one help if someone is struggling so that everyone goes happy with their creations. My friends continue to rave about how it was the best bday party they’ve attended in years. I cannot recommend a party with her enough and can’t wait to do it again!

Makerspace Party = best party ever! Every detail of the party was well thought out and kept the kids engaged the whole time. As a host, I walked into the party empty-handed and everything was taken care of, which meant no planning stress! The paint pouring canvases and chocolates turned out beautiful, and double as party favors. Thank you, Ruthi!

We had the most amazing birthday for our 9 year old daughter with Ruthi! It was an incredible experience getting to paint; Ruthi’s artistic support and education made it perfect. It was pretty fantastic not having to set up or worry about anything. All of the kids (and adults) talked about the awesome party for weeks after! I’m excited to check out all the other cool things Ruthi does!
